Recess
Join Recess to celebrate the opening of a sonata to seed whatever flourishes after the end of the american empire, a new Session project by artist Zeelie Brown.
The evening begins with an open gallery reception where visitors can explore the installation as it begins to take shape. Zeelie will share a brief introduction to the project before offering an intimate solo cello performance featuring improvisations and selections from their recently released album.
The performance unfolds inside the installation itself, with seating arranged in the gallery to bring the audience into close proximity with the work’s sound and atmosphere.
After the performance, guests are invited to enjoy refreshments and remain in the space for an open conversation with the artist.
