Deli Radio Opening Dance Party

We’re kicking off Deli Radio's Session project with a night of dancing! Join us for music, snacks, house-infused cachaça, and a good time. DJ sets by @siii_siii, @danielsantos________, and @bookercmitchell.

The experience begins at the deli located in the lobby of Recess, where visitors can peruse and purchase a curated selection of goods from small-scale producers such as Live Loud Foods, East Branch Farms, Gus & Grey, Canaan, and Root Elixir. As visitors enter the listening/recording room located within the main Session space, they are immersed in a sonic environment designed by Daniel Santos, featuring sound from Booker Mitchell of Bridge Street Sound. The spatial and acoustic design encourages thoughtful listening, creating an experience that invites a deep engagement with the present moment.

Sii Sii aka Sienna Fekete is a curator and educator based in New York City, with a background in radio, podcasting, and music. Currently the Senior Arts Manager at The Lower Eastside Girls Club, she recently curated Modeling Ecologies: Take Care at Entrance gallery and created The Community Cookbook project, volumes 1–3. A former Curatorial Fellow at The Kitchen and host of the Points of View podcast via Cultured Magazine. @siii_siii

Daniel Santos is a filmmaker and sound artist, trained in cinema at the Escola de Cinema Darcy Ribeiro and Social Communication at PUC-Rio. His works, including Ex-perimetral and Jah Intervention, have been showcased at prominent festivals in Belo Horizonte, MG, and Rio de Janeiro, RJ. In 2016, he launched Radio Escada, a radio project that won the Aldir-Blanc Music Award in 2020. Santos has also collaborated with the FluxFabrix dance company and is an alumnus of Casa de Cultura Tainã. @danielsantos________

Booker Mitchell is a native New Yorker from Brooklyn. Booker grew up collecting records and DJing, where his careful concern for sound was formed. Booker started building speakers at a young age and is a cofounder of Bridge Street Sound. @bookercmitchell
